Telequip is welcoming a number of exciting changes as the long-standing local business looks towards continued growth and flexibility in the future. The first and major change for the multi-award winning communications specialist is the decision to part ways with Telstra.

“Telequip appreciated its time with Telstra and we would not be the size business we are today without the support of Telstra,” says Managing Director Christine Oberhamberger.  “Like all businesses, we go through stages of growth and in order to stay relevant for our Cairns business clients we had to move on,” she says.

“The future is exciting.  The openness of the products we now have access to and our new offerings will give businesses greater flexibility.”

New products include Telequip Managed Services such as Cloud based Hosted Phone Systems and Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) Trunking as well as competitively priced broadband and fixed line plans both on NBN and copper. The Hosted Phone System (HPS) solution is based on a monthly service fee that includes business-grade phone system functionality, calling bundles with 100 % local support.

“We give businesses a convenient, fully managed solution that is usually only available to larger corporations,” says Sales & Marketing Director Eric van Eeghen. “As part of the HPS platform, Telequip is offering full cost transparency, no lock-in contracts and peace of mind. The HPS solution comes with regularly serviced up-to-date equipment.”

“Telequip is local. Imagine being able to call for support locally and not to an overseas call centre. Service issues will be dealt with promptly by our experienced Help Desk Team. They are on call 24/7,” says Eric.

As the rollout of the NBN advances, many businesses will be aware that ISDN services are being phased out. In a staged process, businesses will no longer be able to order ISDN services from January 31st, 2018. Telequip is offering flexible, cost-effective SIP Trunking solutions for businesses having to migrate to NBN.

What hasn’t changed is Telequip’s commitment to providing regional businesses with innovative, cost-effective solutions on the NBN network. “Businesses already on NBN as well as in areas not yet NBN ready, should talk to us to compare Telequip’s products with their current provider,” says Eric van Eeghen. “Today’s business owners need flexible solutions. Telequip has evolved to offer much more than just phone systems and now provides local holistic business communications services”
